Italian Sausage with Penne Pasta

  • 1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook pasta according to package directions and drain. 
  • 2. In a large skillet, heat oil. Add sausage and cook until lightly browned. 
  • 3. Add onion, garlic, and basil. Stir in tomato paste and chicken broth. Simmer until thickened.
  • 4. Add cooked pasta and stir to mix skillet contents. 
  • 5. Add spinach to mixture. Simmer on reduced heat until spinach is tender. Add diced tomato. 
  • 6. Top with cheese and serve. Enjoy!
