Smoked Bratwurst Biscuits and Gravy Bake

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. 
  • 2. Spray a 9 x 13 pan and set aside.
  • 3. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage until slightly browned. Remove excess oil and add butter. Stir until melted.
  • 4. Add flour to coat sausage and stir for 3 minutes. Add 3 cups of milk and continue to stir over medium heat unitl gravy thickens, about 5 to 10 minutes.
  • 5. While gravy is cooking, cut each biscuit into 4 bieces and line the bottom of the pan. Sprinkle biscuit dough with cheddar cheese. 
  • 6. Whisk eggs and 1/2 cup milk with desired salt and pepper. Pour the mixture over the biscuits and cheese. 
  • 7. Once gravy has thickened, pour the mixture over the casserole. Sprinkle additional cheddar cheese over the top.
  • Bake in the oven for 30 to 45 minutes or until golden brown on top. Serve warm and enjoy!
